Contemplating The Nature of Revelation

As the title suggests, this painting represents my abstract musings on the concept of revelation. In other words, I was curious to explore the transition from unknown to known, unseen to seen, hiddenness to revelation. That's about all I'll say about it here.
When it comes to creating abstract art, I typically don't like to share my own in-depth personal interpretations outside of intimate conversation as it tends to shut down the viewer's curiosity and robs her of a deeper, more personal encounter with the work.
I want each viewer to have the space and freedom to curiously interact with the work and process it through his own life experiences, associations, world view, belief structure, etc. There is no "right" answer, no "correct" viewing experience. Your experience is true, even if it doesn't align with the artist's intent.
Generally, I will not share my personal interpretation of the work until the viewer has had a chance to process and share with me their own experience. At that point, it becomes a conversation, a mutual exchange rather than a lecture. I remain open to others teaching me through my own work.
Thus, I do not consider an artwork complete until it is experienced by others. Only then can a meaningful dialog begin. I very much enjoy the variety of perspective such discourse invites. Otherwise, I may as well be a strange voice calling out into the wilderness, pleased to hear the sound of my own voice.
